~ We are talkin~

Yes Yes.. Tristan my eleven and half month old little monkey is a talkin little boy..
I will say this - he has been saying Momma, dadda, ishy, dato=dog, ball but Yesterday 06/25 while shopping in target he said "uh oh".. I think I was in shock and so surprised.. How amazing it to actually hear your son say his first actual words!! Let me tell you!! AMAZING!!

~Its so weird to think and well hear Tristan talking.. We now have to watch what we are saying around T, because it seems he is going to start picking up on what we are saying even faster than what we expected!!
So I must mark this day - no yesterday as the day that Tristan said his first "actual word"..
So exciting.. oh and he's cruising.. Geez in two weeks time - Tristan has pulled himself up, started cruising the couches, and tables, and now has said his first word.. Pretty crazy how fast they learn!!

OH and..... We gave T a new haircut.. totally not intentional. I cut T's hair and I have been getting pretty good with the clippers. Well since its Arizona and the heat is back up in the 100's + I figured lets take him a little shorter so I started out with 4, then went to 3, thennn went to 2. So i stopped at 2 cut his hairall around and then went to fade T's hair with a 1 in the back well his little squirmy self moved and I had the clippers on his head and "SHIT" it went to high.. so I asked John to help me fix it.. and well his way of fixing it was to just cut his entire head -

so I was left with this..

He's still my cutie patootie.. I was a little uneasy about it at first - but I've gotten used to it and for some reason I feel like it totally feels like it fits my little Mr. T..

so that's been my weekend so far and its only Sat.

*My Butt Procedure*

Yes I call it that..
Anyhow - it went well.. minus the fact that I had to fast for 24+ hours and drink this nasty most horrific tasting solution to make me go to the bathroom to clean my bowels out!! that was NO fun!! Ugh..
I'm not sure how people fast for more than 24+ hours they are CRAZY!! Every where I looked and every where I turned their was food staring me in the face and EVERY thing looked a million times better than it would if I wasn't having to fast. bananas and strawberries, turkey meat Oh my lord - at times I wanted to just sneak in a few bites here and there but new I couldn't so I carried on with my nasty liquid of a drink.. Going to the bathroom wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and it didn't bother my stomach or make me cramp horribly like the side effects had said would happen, so that was good. I did get a massive headache and that was obviously from not being able to eat. Went away as soon as I was able to eat!!
I definitely feel bloated and swollen, so much for thinkin I would lose weight!!
When I went in for my procedure - the nurse was getting me prepped and I had to leave a pee sample - she scared the living crap out of me because she did a prego test and pulled i and was like umm when did you have you last period - I told her and she was like.. mmmm (my heart stopped) I was like NO WAY!!! and she was like oh No no, your not pregnant.. Ugh my heart started beating again.. LADY I just had a kid 11 months ago I don't need another one right now.. mmm kay... Holy cow not cool.. then she tried to get me set up for an IV and couldn't find my veins ( I have pretty bad veins- just not visible) Well Duh I'm dehydrated so its going to be a little harder - well she blew one of my veins I wanted to strangle her.. then she went to the top of my hand couldn't find anything - finally I was like why don't you just put it in the upper part of my arm where you normally would go.. she did and Guess what found my Vein!!! YAY!!
they got me prepped and I laid there for about 15 minutes waiting the anthestesiologist . He came in and went over stuff and then knocked my ass out - I remember nothing after that..
I woke up to John - talking to me and the nurse saying my name.. Of course I started crying as I always do when I come out of sedation.(big baby) Oh well.. I was there for about 30 min and got on my feet (a little woozy)- got dressed talked to the Dr and on our way we went.. I told John I wanted a big fat juicy cheeseburger so he stopped at chilis on our way home and got me just that.. YUM! We went home- ate and watched a movie and then he went and got T from daycare and I feel great- besides gas and bloating from the air being pushed into my colon.. Nothing like expelling air.. LOL!!!
Anyway - all is well - but I have to go see a rectal surgeon for my wonderful hemorrhoids- since I'm sick of just putting creams, ointments etc. on them and it not helping - I want them removed.. So I go in Thursday for another Dr. to look at my bum!! Geez!!
that was my wonderful day - luckily I wont have to go back to get one of those done again until I'm like 60!! Thank God - because drinking the solution they give you to clean you out is just out of this world DISGUSTING!!! Bleh..

~Happy Father's Day~

~Happy 1st Father's Day John - We love you~

A man's desire for a son is usually nothing but the wish to
duplicate himself in order that such a remarkable pattern may not be lost to the
world.

by: Helen Rowland

Happy 1st Father's Day to my amazing, wonderful, handsome, sometimes a pain in my ass, incredible husband!! John is truly an amazing husband and above all an incredible father. For someone who never thought that he would have kids, let alone really didn't even want kids- he is by far the best daddy he can be to Tristan. It's s fun to see them two together and interact. He loves that little boy more than words can say. I can't wait -well no I can - but it will be nice to see them when Tristan gets older and can enjoy the things his father is into - the rail the rhino and dunning. The lake and boats and jet ski's , taking apart perfectly good vehicles and turning them into show vehicles - wreaking havoc in the garage to all hours of the night.. I am truly looking forward to those times!! Can't wait.. heehee (notice some sarcasm in there - just a little)

No but really I'm excited to see them to grow together and build that father son relationship John really never had with his father..
Not to mention - John has even mentioned having another one.. WOOOHOOOOO... Two is were the train stops though.. :0)

Happy Father's Day to my Dad as well.. I miss him everyday and more and more on days like these.. My Dad was an amazing Father - He would have given anything to have his family happy and made sure we were all takin care of.. He sure spoiled his little girl.. :0) No complaints here.. =)~ I love you Dad and miss you.. Happy Father's Day!!

Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad.

Seriously I love these things and have been craving, no scratch that. I have been feening for them for the past week.. UGH!! I'm messing up what form of some diet I was maintaining here.. oh and Dr. Pepper.. What in the heck is going on!! Its like I'm a kid in a candy store I just can't get enough- of Peanut butter M&M's & Dr. Pepper..

Not even remotely cool because I know exactly where its all going, directly to my hips and thighs.. YAY for me!!

This is not what I'm going for PEOPLE
Yea.. that's kinda disturbing.. but maybe this will be the reminder of why I need to stop this craziness with Peanut butter M&M's and Dr. Pepper..
That's ALL!!

~These Shoes were made for Walkin~

and that's just what they'll do.....
Yep Last weekend I went and got Tristan his first pair of actual "pre-walking" shoes.

Its funny and I have to kick myself in the ass because we spent so much money on all these "cute" shoes for him to wear and well he barely ever wore them but, of course we tried to get him to wear them.. they either didn't fit his fat feet or were to big and would slip off or he would take them off and into his mouth they went.. So now that he's beginning to pull himself up and make the effort to take steps etc.. I figured it was about that time to go.. along with the push from my Mom who said I should have gotten them a few months ago.. Geez, sorry I kinda like looking at his little fat pudgy feet- there to cute to cover up if you ask me and well its "SUMMER" and its hot!!

Well - I went to Stride- Rite and got him some pre-walkers - I like them compared to the others that they had and Tristan well he really wasn't sure what the heck was put on his feet and became frustrated with them as I held onto his hands to walk around the store to test the new shoes out.. These shoes are pretty neat - they aren't hard on the bottoms so he's still able to feel the floor and its as if he's not really wearing "shoes", because they are flexible and move with his feet.. they seem like they are going to be pretty comfy and just what he may need to get that extra step or two in.. We shall see..
I haven't put them on him this week yet, though- I'm really not sure what I'm waiting for.. I guess I just feel like he doesn't exactly need them while at daycare except now my thinking has changed because yesterday I went and picked him up and saw that the rough spots on the tops of his pudgy feet had turned into somewhat of carpet blisters(burns) and were nice and red.. :(
So looks like I will be putting his shoes on after all.. I was also hoping they would have sandals so his feet could breathe and of course they were out.. So I will have to wait until they get more in. Until then these "cool" shoes will have to do..

11 Months Old

Holy Shnikes!! Its funny because as I write those words - "Eleven Months old".. I stop and think about what I was doing last year leading up to Tristan's Birth..

I remember it being so hot these last two months and at one point our A/C went out on us, I was freaking out because it was so hot and the fact that this was happening 4 weeks before T was supposed to be born was ridiculous. Luckily we got it fixed and it wasn't anything major.

I remember that night John and I decided to go to dinner and go see a movie, Ya that movie was my last movie I saw until after the baby was born.. :( I also remember - going and doing my maternity pictures and how god awful hot it was- and now this year its like 90 degrees outside and beautiful!!

It's just so crazy to think about all these things. Like last weekend would of been my baby shower and I loved every single minute of it - I loved sifting through the aftermath of clothes, baby gear, getting T's nursery together.. and that was the other thing I procrastinated big time on, finishing the nursery - since we did a theme of jungle/ safari murals on the wall. I took forever picking paint etc.. The room was done exactly 1 week prior to Tristan being due. I remember how ready I was to have Tristan here. After enduring 8 months and being the size of a whale, not being able to see my feet except for in the mirror to only gaze at the mere fact that I would never have normal ankles ever again after this pregnancy, I wish I would of taken pictures but maybe that's a good thing I didn't - Some things you just don't need to remember.. 35 weeks prego..
So Anyway - Tristan is 11 months old and I'm in aww of this little BOY - not baby so much anymore. He is ALL over the place - into EVERYTHING and anything he can get his little pudgy fingers into. He pulls him self up on almost everything he can get leverage on. He has taken quite a few falls, with some scrapes and bruises to show for it, but he's a tough little man and sails right on past the point of crying. (maybe a few tears here and there)
Here's a few stats:
*27lbs
*Not sure of Height -
* 8 teeth
*crawling
*pulls self up- takes a few steps

We put a swing up outside for him since he loves being outdoors, absolutely LOVES that swing. He is so content and happy once we put him in there. Which is great because it gives me a chance to Barbecue, time for John and I to talk and carry on a conversation with out being screamed at.. Tristan has one more month of being on the bottle and is drinking from a sippy cup with no problems, I also have been introducing him to Horizon Vitamin D whole milk so he gets used to it when formula is stopped. I mix it with his formula - the first week and this next I will do 2 ounces with his 4 ounces of formula and then after 2 weeks move to 4 ounces of whole milk to his 2 ounces of formula and so on..

He is doing wonderfully with eating the food we eat. He LOVES strawberries, He knows what they are and when he sees them in the grocery store he goes nuts!! He likes bananas, kiwi, nectarines, peaches, plums, raspberries, grapes, blackberries, apples - basically every fruit except watermelon, that he spits out. He likes green beans, only the fresh ones; peas, carrots, potatoes, squash, pinto beans, black beans, doesn't care for corn. He likes chicken, spaghetti, ravioli's, turkey, ham, cheese, eggs, salami, mac & cheese, strawberry or grape jam sand which as I call them since he can't have peanut butter yet, loves waffles, toast, pancakes. - He still eats some jar food, but for the most part he's eating regular food. I love the fact that he will eat anything, he loves trying what John and I have on our plates and its funny because he definitely likes to be treated as a big boy who can do it by himself - if you try to help him he pushes your hand out of the way and screams.. (what a stinker right?)
He has 8 teeth - 4 on top and 4 on the bottom - My concern though is that he still has some weird markings on them and I'm not really sure what the pediatric dentist is going to recommend. I plan on taking him in when he is year. Since all 4 teeth I'm hoping will be completely out. I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed because even though they are only his first set and will fall out, he will have them until he's at least 7 maybe even older and I don't want him to have to go to preschool or kindergarten with messed up teeth.. Not even cool!! His Molars are coming in on the bottom - his gums are pretty swollen- poor baby.
He's talking and babbling alot, Says Momma - dadda, dogga = dog, ishy=fishy, and a few various other words but I'm not really sure how to type those out..

All in all for an eleven month old who fell behind at 7-9 months because of his ear infections etc he sure has showed us how much he can catch up and go beyond our expectations.
(That was a pretty long post) Yikes.. As you can see - As Tristan grows and becomes more mobile - its is very hard for me to get him to sit and smile and take a quick pic.. This took me about 10 minutes along with 25+ pictures me of course just snapping pics as I saw fit and went through and grabbed the best ones..

~Sick~ Sick~ and more Sick

UGH!! Being Sick sucks -
It started with my Brother in law - then went to Tristan and now has been passed on to me..
I hate taking medicine, but I broke down last night and took sudafed - I just couldn't take it anymore. My throat hurts, my chest is on fire from congestion (it feels like a just got done hiking or something), I'm hot , then cold and then hot and sweaty and then cold.. This is a viscous cycle!! I'm OVER IT!!
I took T to the Dr's last week to get a check up because he has been acting off and was grabbing at his ears (yes again) UGH.. So I took him in and she said I don't see anything, He looks really healthy, his ears are clear and tubes are still in there and then it dawned on me that my BIL went in and they tested him for strep and it came back positive so I told her and she did a culture on T and it came back positive!! Wonderful.. So He's been on meds to clear that up and luckily we caught it early - but he continues to grab at his ears, and rub them with annoyance. So I don't know whats going on there..
I hope we start making a come back soon. Like today would be great.. Being sick just puts me in a Shit mood, I have no energy, I'm tired and really don't want to be bothered. John really isn't the most sympathetic person when I'm sick so he irritates me.

On another note - I have to go get a Colonoscopy - WHY??
Oh well, because it stems back from highschool basically - I really have never had normal bowel movements and usually can only go every 3-4 days- I thought this was normal until I realized that it is NOT - and when I do go its hard to go and I really never feel relieved.
Well lets bring us up to now and the same problem just worse. About 3 weeks ago I was going and it really hurt, it felt like I had ripped and then the bleeding began.. I was like holy cow.. So me being me and so NOT wanting to go to the doctor about it I went to my trusted friend "Dr. google" and found that it could be fissures, or a hemorrhoid.. Okay well now I have answers - so I chalked it up to that.. Started eating more fiber rich foods and drinking more liquids. Should work?? Not so fast...
Well than 2 weeks ago I went to the bathroom and afterwards my bum just felt weird and itchy.. (hahah sorry TMI) so I sat back down to wipe and felt a bulge - My face probably turned 10 shades of white (if that's possible) and I got really scared.
I went on to my trusty Dr. google and looked it up and I had a Hemorrhoid!! WONDERFUL!!
I'm 26 years old and I'm rockin a hemorrhiod Not even cool..and I know they say after you have a baby you typically get them, Yes true but I didn't have a normal vaginal delivery I had a C-section and did no pushing or straining - So WTF.. why me?? So at this point I'm so sick of my body especially my bottom half.. So I sucked up my pride and made an appt with the "butt Doctor" as I call them. My Appt was yesterday - and she has scheduled me for a colonoscopy after my butt was violated ;( and yet it will be violated again on the 23rd..
I was really shocked that she wanted a colonoscopy. I figured she would give me some medicine etc.. to help.. When she said colonscopy I was like Waaaahat.. . she explained that she would like to find out not only why I'm getting a hemorrhoid (obviously from straining because I don't go regularly) but she is concerned that I might have blockage, polyps or internal hemorrhoids!! Well isn't that dandy.. So she said we will clean you out and get you regular - I was like cool - your gonna clean me out during the procedure, (high hopes there) and she brought them down with "Nope, I'm going to give you a solution you need to drink the day before and the day of your procedure and you will flush your self out".. WONDERFUL!! Makes me want to jump right in to this procedure.. :(
Oh well - I guess I'm better safe than sorry - or so I'm told!

Great Week eh??
