Picked a Theme

FINALLY - for Tristan's 1st Birthday Party on July 11th. - Good lord it took me forever to decide.. I'm not sure why. Anyway - I think its cute and perfect for a little boy on his 1st birthday.. (sorry the pic is so small but the larger one wouldn't allow me to C&P)

Now I have to get moving on buying all of the decorations and get the invites out.. There is going to be a lot of people at this shin dig- I'm excited to be celebrating his 1 st birthday! To Tristan he will have no idea as to what is going on but, I want to make sure he will be able to look back at pictures and know that every birthday even his 1st is so important to us!!

I also put together a "wish list" on Toys R Us.. Which is freakin cool!! I think that is so awesome and the fact that they have things like that makes things so much easier for those people who have no idea what to get a 1 year old- especially those who don't have kids.. Its like a registry but for your birthday.. and because I know Tristan and what he likes its easier for me to just get on there and pick things that will be educational yet fun.. . So it works out perfectly. Not to mention its super easy for his out of town relatives to go on there as well, order it and have it shipped directly to us.. Simple and easy!!

I am going to be having it at my Mom's house since 1. she has a BIG house to fit all the people that will be there. 2. We are having it as a swim party and what do ya know she has a Pool!!
So I'm off to go order this stuff up and get things ready for my Baby's 1st Birthday!! (AHHHHHH I can't believe in a month and a half, Tristan will be ONE) C.R.A.Z.Y.

Could he get any freakin cuter!!??

(did you notice my picture taken skills are starting to show?)

San Diego Vacation

Was a BLAST!! John and I had so much fun.. I think we had more fun just watching Tristan explore all the new things he was seeing and his face light up at all the animals.
We left Friday Morning about 10:30am- I was hoping to leave before T would nap so this way he would nap in the car.. but because he got up at 5 Friday morning he took his first nap at 8 and slept till 10 - I got him ready- the truck packed and we were off.. I played with him in the back until our first stop and he ate some lunch and some ice cream with daddy and then we were off again. He passed out for his long nap which took us basically all the way to San Diego.. It was a pretty easy going trip there - besides the few border patrol stops we had to make - no biggie!
We arrived in San Diego at 430 pm. got checked in and then unpacked our stuff and relaxed with Tristan a little- Poor baby had so much energy from being strapped in his car seat he was all over the hotel room...
We packed him up again and we were off to find food.. We went to On the border and John and I got some Alcohol & Fajitas!! YUM!!! and T had a fruit juice.. :0)Fajitas were pretty yummy and T enjoyed Rice and Beans..
We headed back to the hotel.. I was tired, Baby T was tired and I knew we had a long day ahead of us.
Sleep - unfortunately did not come so easily for Tristan.. he was so wound up from the car ride that he just couldn't settle in so I ended up having to sleep with him in the other bed.. OF course he passes right out in my arms but when I put him back in his bed, he was wide awake.. Little stinker.. So I didn't get the greatest amount of sleep.

Sat. morning we took it easy getting ready and out the door, our hotel did free breakfast so we headed up there and grabbed some breakfast - went back to our room - T took a nap and John and I got ready and snoozed alittle before T got up and we started our day!!

We went to Sea world first!! What an amazing day-

A little chilly but it was nice!! As we waited in line -We put Tristan's glasses on and as I went to take a picture he inched them down as if he spotted some hot chick and was staring her down.

and then gave Daddy a Five as Daddy was in a approval of Tristan's Sightings.. MEN!!

After that - we headed in and saw that Elmo and his friends were having a show so we strolled up and listened to them sing and dance around. After that was done John took him through the water pad and as the water was shooting out John took T underneath one..

Tristan didn't seem to amused so we moved on.

We went to quite a few of the exhibits, The Sharks,
the Polar Bears
and Beluga Whales,
The penguins (reminded me of Happy feet when they just stare at you as you pass by) Very sad if you ask me.. :(

We decided to go to some of the Shows - 1st one was with The Dolphins.. I tell ya - Those creatures are something else.. So very smart and so stinkin cute.. I wish I could have one as a pet!! J/k Tristan was all about them - when they would jump out of the water he would sit up on my lap and scream at them.. Too cute.

Next we went and ate some lunch.. and Got T filled up and refueled.. After that he passed out!! So John and I went and walked around to some of the other exhibits, stuff T really wouldn't be able to see..
Then we headed to the next Show which was "Believe" with Shamu.. We woke T up and got in line.

Again, Those are some creatures I absolutely love - So smart and super cute as well. John took like 5 million pictures while I was holding Tristan.. but not of us just of the whales!! Dummy!

Tristan had a blast at this show - since there was music played while the whales were doing tricks he was dancin all around and of course started screaming at them as they would pop out of the water and when they would soak the rows of people. If you go to these shows. If you don't want to be soaked DO NOT sit in the first 16 rows.. You will get WET and I don't mean a few drops - I mean Like DRENCHED!! It was pretty funny I will admit!!
After that show - We were pretty much done so we headed to a pizza place we saw and WOW the pizza and salad was awesome! After we filled up we headed to the hotel and PASSED OUT!! Great Ending to a perfect day.

Sunday morning - same as Sat.. Chilled - ate - T took a nap, and we headed out to the Zoo..
The zoo was BORING!! We took the ride around on the Bus and pretty much that's all you need- haha.. After we took that ride we walked around for another hour or two and John and I decided to leave.

We headed to the Beach!! It was pretty windy and by the time we got there the Sun started to go behind the clouds so it was making it cold. We set up our towels and let T play in the sand and get a feel for it- which he LOVED!! He grabbed fistfuls of the Sand shook it around, flung it everywhere, then he decided he was going to taste it- Face planted right into the sand!! LOL John and I were laughing so hard but T was not!! He was not happy that he just ate sand and now had it in his eyes, nose and mouth.. We got him cleaned up and we took him down to the water to see what he would do.. He didn't care for it - I wouldn't of either it was pretty cold.. So we wrapped him up and got back on dry land and went and cleaned up all the sand.

I put him in his sweat pants and wrapped him in his blanket and John and I walked the Boardwalk and looked at the coast and all the "weird" people.. hahah Tristan of course passed out and by this time it was time for us to get going..
On our walk back to the truck I saw this bench and it had John's name on it.. "John's Bench"
o I made John take a picture with it!!

Then we went back to the hotel - bought some dinner and stayed in.. Monday we were headed out and got on the road around 11am and got home about 430 pm.. Not bad timing!! John is a freakin speed demon.. Anyway - Our first family trip was GREAT!! Things went the way I hoped they would of and what more could I have asked for. Even though Tristan's only 10 months old and won't be able to remember this trip I can always show him pictures. I'm glad we are able to do this stuff with our Son. I'm excited for the time when he is older and can really enjoy it to the fullest!!

~~10 Months Old~~ *Updated*

I'm kinda late with posting this - but we had a very eventful and busy weekend.

May 9, 09 ~Tristan turned 10 months old!! C.R.A.Z.Y....... is all i have to say..
10 months has come so fast. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the next 2 months and the day he turns a year old.. WEIRD!!

About this little man..
No current weight - guesstimate - 27lbs
Height: 30-31 in..
Everything is just as it was last month but with more will power to get where he needs to go, when he wants to go. He still army crawls but now he has learned to launch himself using his feet. He does get up on all 4's but can't quite figure out that if he would move in sync he would be crawling..
he has shown his temper - OH YEA!! lets talk about that.. boy oh boy does he have a temper.. He is in the stage were if you take away something he gets MAD!! like really mad, screams, kicks and cries out.. I have to laugh, but I try not to in front of him because I don't want him to think I'm making fun of him, but it is funny..
He screams at the dogs if they get in his way - just to give you an example.. Kane our pit bull went up to T and licked him on his face to give "kisses" and then plopped his butt right on top of T's legs.. T got so MAD that he screamed at him and was trying to push him away!! John and I were laughing so hard.. he did this until finally Kane realized Oh maybe I should move.. He screams at Sox my little chi chi, Sox thinks its okay to go and lay on his playmate so I think Tristan has learned from me that its not okay for Sox to layon his mat- So when sox tries to, Tristan screams at him and then will attempt to push him off.. My poor dogs are sure going to love this little kiddo.. =)
He has learned to pull himself up in his crib and not just by accident- this is I want out, you guys can hear me but since no one is coming I'm going to find my escape myself. So John and I will be lowering the bed once again, and this time to the lowest setting. Its a pain in the ass to lower one setting at a time..
He eats like there's no tomorrow. He drinks out of his sippy cup like a CHAMP.. so transitioning should not be a problem which I'm so happy about. At 1 year - I will be taking away the bottle, along with his pacifier and keeping it only for night time.. if need be.
Trucks!!! He LOVES trucks.. Monster trucks preferably.. John and I got him a few a couple months back and he wasn't totally interested in them but played with them.. Well, now they are all he wants.. he even makes the noise which he has learned from us and rolls them on the floor while making a (rumbling of Vrooooommm vroooommmm) in Tristan's version though.
Since - getting his tubes in his ears I have seen such a change in T's development - its awesome. I can't believe that stupid Ear infections can slow kiddos down physically, mentally and developmentally.. What a come back Tristan has made. He has caught himself up with everything and more he should be doing.. and shouldn't be doing like getting into the dog bowls, pulling the dogs ears, pressing the buttons on the T.V. pulling himslef up on the crib and the couches, the list goes on. I will say though, this stage in his life has definitely become my Favorite. I still miss his little bitty self, but when he pulls himself up on my lap and gives me a slobbery kiss and a hug so tight.. I could not ask for more!!
~~TA DA~~ I'm 10 months..

We are headed to San Diego on Friday and I am so excited for this trip. It will be our 2nd family trip and T's first trip to the ZOO and to the Beach.. We might hit up Sea World, but we will see..
I plan on taking a MILLION pictures.. I will be like the paparazzi taken pics with my kid in every single one. LOL.. =) Stay tuned for that post..

So that's the update as of now..
Oh- I had an Awesome 1st Mother's Day.. John got me flowers, a cute card from him and T and then made me Manicotti for dinner, not to mention cleaned the entire house, vacuumed, mopped etc.. I love my HUBS!!!

~~ I will post 10 month pics as soon as I download them..~

Baby's got a brand new RiDe~

We got Tristan a new Stroller. a Chicco Liteway.. I think I'm in love already -
I mainly got this stroller for our trip we are taking to San Diego this next week- I just figured having his graco was going to be to big to lug around everywhere - its such a pain and its big (SEE) - you have to tell everyone to move because apparently no one knows that they should be courteous and MOVE when they see you coming instead they plant there feet firm and WAIT - wait for you to say EXCUSE ME!! and then oh oh,, Sorry.. YEA right buddy if you were sorry you would of moved in the first place!! Ugh.. Anyway -
So I figured by getting this new stroller - it would make my life somewhat easier-

*Its Lightweight aluminum frame and compact 3D folds
*Hide away boot for enclosing infants when reclined (won't use since he isn't a newborn)
*Rear wheel suspension with precision swivel front wheels let you take it anywhere
*Padded five point harness and multi position reclining seat keep your child safe and comfortable
*Detachable storage basket converts to sling tote for carrying baby's things

I'm excited to try it out on our trip~ as well as the quick trips we take..
I hope this is the ONE - I'm so sick of researching and Researching strollers to find the ONE!!
and your probably laughing about the fact that I have researched for this - but you when you have a baby you will know why..
Because Tristan is my first - I'm having to go through the trails and errors of owning all these cool mechanical devices, Strollers, car seats, diapers, butt ointment, bath tubs, and the list goes on and on.. if you don't believe me by all means" have a baby".. It really is all about trail and error. I'm sure I have spent so much money on shit that hasn't worked and probably never will just because "I thought it would". That's why I had to do a lot of research on this bad boy - its a pretty good chunk of money for a stroller. So I wanted to be sure.. and at this point I can't be sure until we actually try it out and then I realize gosh I wish it had this.. then I'm back to the drawing board, but then again John would probably kill me if I started racking up strollers in our game room. ::sigh:: Lets just hope this is the "one" and all the time and research I put into getting this - was worth it!!

PLEASE~~

~Gymboree~

This past weekend - I decided to take Tristan to a place called Gymboree its an interactive- gym- meet new babies and parents type of place.
I have been looking into doing these because I think it is beneficial for Tristan to be around other babies his age and its fun for me to be able to go and interact with him, teach him new songs and nursery rhymes, help with his motor, physical and mental skills. Get his butt CRAWLING.. haha I take that back- Tristan does know how to crawl just not the traditional way you would think they are "supposed" to crawl. Tristan always does things a little different and I definitely think he gets this from his Dad. He army crawls it across the floor. So he is mobile which is great.
I like this class we went to - but I was hoping for more of gymnastics class - I guess..
This class involved interacting and singing nursery rhymes at the same time which was fine but there was only 1 teacher to about 10 parents.. I definitely think they should have had more help.. Especially because none of the parents barely knew any of the nursery rhymes.. I know I didn't.

Tristan did have fun though, He climbed up the ramp and slide back down, we did airplane and also did parachute where you lay the kids on there backs and grab that big parachute lookin thing and flap it up and down over top of them (I'm not good at explaining things - so forgive me)
Anyway - he had a blast with that - cracking up which made all the other parents laugh..
I met a few people and of course Tristan flirted with some of the little girls.. To cute!!
He had some conversations with another little boy that came up to him (conversations meaning) SCREAMING back and forth at each other and laughing because they truly understood what the other was saying.. (Probably saying my parents think this shit is so fun!! HA!!!)

After the class - it was definitely time to take a nap and he sure did - as soon as we got home he passed out for a good 3- 4 hours.. I even took one!!

I am going to try out a few other Gyms around the valley - I just don't think Gymboree is exactly what I'm looking for - for him. I have contacted a few other places and we will see - the crappy thing is - is that some of these places aren't "work" friendly - meaning alot of there classes fall in the middle of the day when um hello I'm at work!! I need either after work or on Saturdays.. Anyway - we will see.. I'm sure I will post about each one - when I go with Tristan.
