We also ripped up the ugly green carpet that was in our entry way,  what a difference that made as well!! We are thinking of epoxying it to much the colors we have for paint using the pebble look

Onto Tristan's Garden. I purchased this little kit at Home depot when we were doing all the painting of rooms. I really didn't think we would do anything right away, but T and I had a free moment to go ahead and start this.

T decorated the top of the canister with Cars Stickers. He was mighty proud, even though I did the work. Sheesh.. Well he put the stickers on himself.

and about 2 weeks later this is what sprouted.. for some reason, not all of them sprouted, so I might have messed up or didn't push the seeds deep enough into the soil.  Anyway. We have some growage and hopefully once we transfer these, they will continue to grow.. I will keep you updated.

We painted it a Behr color: Water Sprout. This wasn't my first choice, but its growing on me. It's really bright and does does not photograph well, as you can see.

I'm torn on doing window treatments.

His Crib I feel tones down the brightness, I'm hopingg once we get all the elements in this room the color will blend right in.

Its not 100% done, We also have taken T's crib apart and converted it to a double bed "big boy bed" as we like to call to call it. so far he's slept in it 2 nights and hasn't fallen out and I haven't heard a peep out of him.
I'm waiting on his decals, once those are delivered we can put them up and I will take and share photos again.

My House

My house is becoming a construction zone. Literally!  
They start work on it today and I'm kinda having an anxiety attack just thinking about it-  I used to love having our house be remodeled. but that was before I had a kid and one on the way and have become somewhat obsessive compulsive to some point that things that become out of ordered makes me feel the need to clean and makes me feel out of sorts.
Luckily everything that is happening, is happening on the outside of our house which is great, but its still happening..

Arizona had a pretty bad storm a few months back, so my husband and I took advantage of that and contacted our Ins. company to pay for the damages.  Well they came out and did there estimates and came back with about 10K in damages including our Shed, A/C panels and a few other things.
So we have a friend that is a contractor that will be doing all of this for us, except we asked for our garage door, and new paint to be replaced along with our Roof.

The garage door goes in today, No biggie. but the entire process is starting and that's what has me in a rant.. I have school starting next week as well. The roof is next week, then paint.
We also been saving up to have our front yard landscaped finally.  So all 4 of these things will be taken care of hopefully by the beginning of Feb.  To me its a lot all at once!!

On the other hand I am super excited!  We remodeled the entire inside of this house. I'm sure it needs some new paint again..(I'm working on that). We have put blood, sweat and tears literally into remodeling this house.
The outside now needs some TLC.  I can't wait to see the new roof color we chose, as well as the updated paint colors, and a brand new garage door that rolls up and doesn't swing open and also doesn't sound like its about to break off the springs every time you open it.

I will take before pics, and after pics as we go through this process and post them. I'm hoping for a pretty big adjustment..

Wish me luck I don't go insane during this process either, because the next project is our Master bedroom, pulling up carpet- laying down wood laminate and painting with new bedding ( i decided that just this week) I hate our room, its so drab and bleh.
then its transferring T to his new room and making his old room the nursery with painting and all that fun stuff.
Oh lord!!!! 

Some fresh ideas.

Not sure if you remember this post if not, let me remind you.. We are getting ready to start for baby #2, with that we are wanting to change T's room to the other room we used to have as an office.
Sooo..  We decided to keep his crib, and use it for what we intended. Which is turning it into the Full size bed. (Although I'm still contemplating keeping it as a toddler day bed) just until he's about 3-4??? too old, too young??
We are also still a go with doing another mural in his room. Clean slate yet again. We are going to do Monster Trucks, Motorcycles and the Dunes.  I'm going more for a Cartooney theme more than anything.

This is what I'm going for. I really like the Cartoonish look of this mural. T is growing up so fast. I really want to keep him a little boy for as long as possible. I don't want to give him a big "kid" room just yet.

Now we have to decide on furniture as far as what goes and what stays.  We have 2 very open walls to work with. The other is a closet wall and the other is the window wall.

My idea was to back his bed up against the back wall, take the taller of the two dressers we have and put it against the opposite wall. 

Then I was standing in there "imagining" everything this little boy has and clearly he has no storage. I have one of those cubicle organizer things, Yea its filled to capacity with cars, motorcycles, books, blocks, you name it. AND its white. Totally non matching but Target didn't have black. So then I went to my Friends house and I saw these.

She has a set of two, but I would want just one.

I think these would be perfect in his room.I realize they are Black/Brown but they are dark enough to were I don't think you could tell a difference. (o well if you can)  Keep reading

These my friends are inserts that go into the bookcase  you see above. They screw in, they don't just get put in like a fabric bin, you can't remove them unless you unscrew them. Perfect spaces for things you want to hide. YESSSS!!!!

and these are brilliant, because the top 2 cubbies I can use these to store his clothes in, socks etc..

They are actually sliding drawers.. Hello Score Again!! 

You can obviously still use the fabric bins or any bins you want. to mix it up more.

When I saw these sitting in her living room, my mind started to go into overdrive. I have put alot of thought into this. The hubs and I, Yea you can bet your ass we will be making a wonderful trip to IKEA!! 

Oh and I'm sorry did I say how inexpensive this entire thing is.

The cubby/bookshelf is $70

the inserts range from $20-35 a piece- those are kinda pricey

I'm thinking I want a 2nd set for Baby #2's room, but because I'm unsure of what color we are going to do for furniture I probably shouldn't jump the gun.

I was going to set this on the same wall as his dresser. This leaves a pretty open space in the middle for playing.

 I'm still unsure on how I want to set up the furniture until I get it in there.

I want to make sure you will be able to see his murals, but not super crammed. Work in progress!! 

I do have a question though. The closet has no doors on it. When we were remodeling and decided to make that room our office, the closet doors that were on their were old and yuck  so we trashed them and we also opened up that space a bit lengthwise. Then when we had John's cousin living here, we bought those homemade closet organizers you can get from Home Depot. The boys installed that, it looks nice but, what should I do about doors?

Should I just leave it open and do a Curtain? or

Put the Wood sliding doors back on that match the rest of the doors through out our house?

For bedding i was just going to stick with solid colors, Navy Blues, Greens, Blacks, Red etc. Since there's alot going on as it is, I was sticking to simple, but i also saw some cute fabric with skulls and cross bones on it, not scary, but cartooney looking. 

Man I hate decisions.. 

So far those are my ideas for T's room. Now getting them implemented, HA that's a different story. 

Updates and New Pics of My Laundry room..

WOOOHOO!!!  I now have a Completed laundry room, I still haven't put it back together completely but I will do it tomorrow - I can't satnd being so unorganized. 

I have been MIA lately.. I started school 2 weeks ago, and now its starting to get into the homework and studying etc. Add that to aleady hectic life, = No time for blogging and do things that I like to do. Gotta do what I gotta do though.

And here is my completed Laundry room. So happy with the way this all came out. I will definitely be purchasing the uppers, I think it will complete the look and make for extra storage!

Its DONE!!! YAYAYAY  Tile, Paint, new cabinet with sink & faucet, extra storage! Yep I'm in love!!

Laundry room pics.

Instead of updating last weeks post, figured I would just post.

I went and picked up the base cabinet last night, we have to install that- get the plumbing done- I have to have my BIL come out and measure to make my top and get that installed. Once that is complete (hopefully next week) I will post some more pics of the COMPLETED Project. This was technically supposed to be a weekend project, didn't turn out that way. I found some cute plaques to put up and I think I will be going with the uppers to go above the cabinet. I think it will make the room complete!  =)
So whatcha think? So far anyway...

Weekend Recap-

This weekend was pretty fun, got alot accomplished and still trying to get more accomplished this week.

So we re did our laundry room, looks 10000000 times better. I'm so happy with it. Yes its just a laundry room, a box, with a washer and dryer in it. I don't spend much time in there. BUT.. it was pretty hideous!
 Facelift?  YEP.. 
We tiled, grouted, painted and now I'm on the search for this base cabinet. I was looking at Home Depot but, both the HD's by my house have none. So I'm waiting patiently. Once I get that the plan is to get a sink and since we(family) owns a granite shop I was going to have a granite top go on.  I was also thinking about doing some uppers to put above the cabinet, but I really didn't want to spend alot of money on this project. So I'm kinda playing it by ear. I painted the room a bluish color, pretty different than what I normally go for, I typically go for greens. The color I chose is called "skipper", I'm pretty sure it brightens things up in there.  I was also going to look for a few cute plaques that have to do with laundry etc. to hang in there.  If you know any cute sites, let me know. =)

Then, Daddi T's Dad came to watch T for us on Sat. night. We decided to go eat at Rock Bottom. YUM! not so great for the diet..oops =/   After dinner we went to the movies and watched Inception. Ok can I just say what an insane movie that is. If you haven't seen it, I would recommend it. Definitely  good and umm how can you not LOVE something Leonardo Dicaprio is in??? Exactly!

101 n 1001 Goals - 2 new ones

So ongoing with what I posted here.. I have or I should say I will be accomplishing two goals this weekend.

1st off I am tackling this one:

#87 Re- do our laundry room - epoxy floor, new shelves, paint etc.
So for whatever reason, I got a wild hair up my ass, yea that happens sometimes when things become stagnant around my house.  So I told  Daddi T- that it was time to get MY laundry room up to par.. this meaning take EVERYTHING out and RE-DO. I will take pics of the before, during and after.. I'm excited.
Basically, we are going to tile the floor with the same tile we have through out the house, since thats just easier than epoxy, then once that is dry move everything back in & re arrange some things. Daddi T already put shelves up for me a few months back, so those are done. I would like to paint the walls in there. I just really haven't thought about a color, guess I should get on that while everything is out.. Eeek.. I would like to do a cabinet in there, but I'm not sure if that will help the situation or make things harder to move around. The area itself is about 110sq ft. Its not wide but long.. So we will see.

43. Go on Date nights once a month for 6 months
This will be happening on Sat night. Not really sure where we are going but T's Grandpa has offered to watch T for us. So it will be nice to get out. I'm  hoping to go see a Movie. I will update when we go.. =)

#92 & #93 - Re do the walls in living room, Frame Collage

I will be doing those two goals- this weekend. I'm pretty excited!! (ahem kinda)

The hubs will be out of town and I will have the house to myself. My Mom and My Sister are taking T for the weekend so I can complete these projects and I'm hoping "praying" I can get them done before John returns on Sunday.

See.. the reason I must complete before John returns is because if I don't then it will never get done. And for some off reason I had a an Epiphany about a week ago - We sold our pool table in what was considered our game room. HA. Yea that poor thing never saw a good time in its life. So we sold it!! Can you believe how much room those suckers take up!! Well alot - I have an entire room back.. hmmm What to do with it? That's when the epiphany came! Aha!! I will paint and make it our dining room slash playroom for T!! Perfecto!! Well maybe not a total play room for T John would die if one of T's toys went flying and our 150 gallon saltwater fishy tank went all over. Momma would not be a happy a camper either.. So nix the playroom..

So in this room - I would like to get a dining room and have it set by the window. It more than likely be black, my eye is attracted to modern, contemporary - black things and well, Ya it will be black.. :0) I'm not sure if I want Round or Square?? There's a few tables I saw at Ikea (Oi my love to hate store) - I also was told to go on craigslist to find some pretty sweet deals. So I may mosey my way on to that site. I also want to find maybe 2 or 3 bar stools to go under the over hang we have.

The big fish tank will stay and that is also black.. See black is the COLOR!!

You can also see on the back wall I have two paint samples, The hubs knows I have something up my sleeves but he has NO idea the God father is being removed (insert evil laugh) He just has no idea!! None I love it!! He might be mad when he gets home but OH well.. whats done is done right??!!! heehee..

This weekend I am also taking on our family room. Which needs some major help. John and I butt heads on decorating. Why? I don't know.. but we do. He still likes to live in the macho I'm a bachelor - god father days... So as it stands The Godfather is on our wall. Its our cool back drop!! Along with - I'm not gonna lie a very cool present given to John by his bf- Its a Perfect Poise Framed mirrored piecey thing.. He loves it.. but I will be moving this sucker into the other room above the fish tank?? Yea? See I can compromise.. :0)~

Please indulge me in how dumb our wall looks - Really I won't get mad,, Its pretty embarrassing.

and on the other wall is what I tried to make of shelves and pretty pics and frames kinda like what you see in a pottery barn magazine.. HA, yep not so much. I told the hubs how I wanted everything even left a picture and left for the day. Well I came back to this..

Not what I wanted, but I kept my mouth shut in happiness that it was actually up on the walls and not cluttering the floors.. OI!!! So my tasks in this room are to take down all pictures, shelves etc, patch holes, sand and repaint with touch up.. Once dried my wonderful awesome BIL is coming over to help me hang my frame collage, but I'm not sure where I want to put it- over the Couch or above the T.V.? I also would like my shelves hung up again, but see I have three - the hubs decided it would look good to only hang two and as you can see they look retarded!! .. I'm taking the ampersand down and I may use it in the other room. I have another wall that would be considered a hall way wall, that I forgot to get pic of. That also has a framing collage of some sort on it I want to take that down and do something else there. I will post tonight when I get home.

So as you can see I have a pretty daunting task this weekend. I must get them accomplished.. Oh Yes.. god father will be coming off the wall and will never be put up again- at least not in my sight!!

**Oh please excuse my disgusting messy ass house, See I just stopped giving a crap after this past weekend since I will be dirty-ing it up this weekend.. :0)

So any suggestions on above mentioned?? Let me know your thoughts.. Ya know I love them..
