Day 2 of Daycare..
Went way better than the first day.. Thank goodness.. Only a few tears (from me, not T).. As far as the whole getting up and getting to the daycare on time and then to work on time.. That is going to be a work in progress here.. Suddenly my Lil T who was sleeping through the night , well is NO longer!! Since Sunday night he has gotten up 2-3 times a night - I hold off on feeding him as much as possible, but by the third time he wakes up he no longer wants to be just tucked back in and rolled to his side he wants the bottle!! WONDERFUL!! Ugh.. 3 am in the morning, tired as feck and feeding T.. So I don't know whats going on with his system. Then yesterday kathy (daycare lady) said T was crazy fussing - and she had just fed him his rice cereal and a 6 oz bottle abt 2 hours before.. So she wasn't sure what the problem was, changed his diaper, not wet, played with him, happy for 5 min, put toys in front of him good for 5 min.. Finally she broke down gave him a bottle an 8 oz bottle if I might add!! He gulped the entire thing!!! So that was his problem. My lil man is a freakin piggy!! I do, think he is going through another growth spurt because he did this to me at 4 months old.. So I think its just that and it will be short lived and go back to normal.. "I hope"...
As far as me.. I'm getting used to the silence at work. I'm getting alot more done at a faster pace and that leaves me extra time to get some much needed wedding stuff to get done. Which is a good thing.. I still miss my T though.
One thing I am truly grateful for, is the fact that I even had the chance to take T with me to work for the 6 months I have. Some parents don't get that option and quite frankly I don't know how they can do that

*18 Month Update**
Just to back up a little, if not for my own mind..
T went to the Pedia on Friday Last week. Well Check time..
He weighs 24lbs 6 oz funny he now he is only in the 35% tile where as before he was in the 97%tile and up and is 34in tall for his height though he remains at 97% tile up.. He lost 2lbs from the last time we were in. She wasn't concerned, neither am I.
She was alittle concerned with his speech, so she wanted to us to go check out a speech therapist- that must of scrared T because the next day he was popping out words faster than I could right them down.
He's at about 25 words and 2-3 word sentences, like You do it, I'm here, Hello You, Baby Eyes, Go Bye Bye.
We also went and got his pics done, but Picture People changed up there website, It used to be where you could grab the pic with there watermark, which was fine. Well Now you can't.. grrrr.. so I can't share any of them. and we don't have a scanner at home. Thank goodness my Membership is almost done with them.. :0)
So that is about it on T.. Oh he also got his 2 shots- and I spaced out his Hep Shot until next time.

**18 Months Old**
Can You??
So I have to say I am loving this age.. but I will also admit that I'm hating this age..
Lets start with why I love this age..
T is amazing, he is super smart, funny, cracks us up, is a boys; boy, loves being outside, loves his daddy like its going out of style, loves me too(probably more) hahah, loves his puppy's (our 3 dogs) and definitely shows them the love, loves dirt, trucks and anything that he can get his pudgy little hands on- er Mouth..
He is a ball of fun and I love it.Watching him learn new things everyday is awesome. I think my favorite time with him is when John comes home and T hears the garage open or the gate open and he SCREAMS and runs for the door saying DADDYYYYYY... So cute.. and then of course the first 5-10 minutes is spent with John throwing his football to T and T trying his hardest to throw it back only to make it an inch in front of him or playing with his trucks on the floor.. I love watching them!! I also love going to get him at daycare and seeing his face light up once he see's me, the wet slobbery kisses he loves to give, the hugs he gives by wrapping his scrawny lil arms around your neck and sqeezing, the mishief he finds himself in - I mean I find him in, his sweet little face in the morning when he cuddles, the laughing attacks we give him when we tickle him in the right spots and that smile that could make the room melt. ::sigh::: He is definitely growing up quickly, I have a love /hate relationship with this..
As far as why I'm hating this age- well lets see - we are entering the terrible Two's People and I will be lucky if I have any hair left on my head by the time we leave that stage.. and really I wonder why I want a 2nd kid? haha
You ready for this,
He whines, cries, whines, throws, hits, temper tantrums like they were going out of style, bites, pulls hair, throws himself on the floor and screams, becomes easily frustrated, extremely in patient, whines- oh did I mention that already! Sorry thats pretty much all I hear anymore, hits the dogs, sits and jumps on the dogs, throws his food, trys to eat the dogs food, throws there bowls, gets in my closet and takes all of my shoes out, gets in the toilets(GROSS), when outside goes for the dog poop before I can get to it with the pooper scooper, listens on his terms, but really the things I hate most are the temper tantrams(meltdowns), I can't stand the whining and I always tell him, if your going to continue we are going to go buy you a TuTu, he just looks at me.. Blankly. hahah
The thing that gets me and I'm sure this is true with everyone,, is he only does this with US, when he is at daycare yes he hits, bites, etc but she says he doesn't whine, throw fits etc.. ugh... Same thing when he is with John's Dad or even my Mom. They think he's an angel and I'm an idiot.. HA if they only knew!!So thats that..
I have to take T in for his Well Check- sometime this week. I haven't made that appt. We actually have to play catch up, because I didn't do the 15 month well check or shots.. but that was planned.. so he will get those and not the 18 month ones.
Other than that- T is great, learning and sucking everything in. He says a handful of words, but i thought he would be talking more by now. I kinda threw out the book of what he "should" be doing. T has been doing things at his own pace and on his own time, so why compare and stress?? Its a waste.. So out the books went..
Lets see he says:
Puppy, Fishy, Thank you, Daddy, Mommy, vacum, broom, jew(juice), baby, shew(shoes), ook(book), I know he says more, i just can't think of them. hmmm I guess I should be more on top of that..
He eats a variety of foods which is awesome. We were at a picky stage for about 2 weeks or so..but I figured out what was going on and stopped it. and back to normal it went.
He still will not drink Milk, so we subsitute, with yogurt, cheese, cottage cheese etc. I try to trick him sometimes but he takes 2-3 sips and gets what I'm tryin to do..
We are getting him a BIG BOY Seat.. Ahemm Potty
So I will have a follow up post to this one- in the next week or so when I take him in for his well check, as well as his 18 month Photo's :0)
Happy 18 Months Old Kiddo..
Lets High Five Mr Binky- Shall We!!?
OH YEEEEEAAAAAA!!! Mr Binky- or Bink whichever you would prefer. That Monkey has saved my life and I am on top of the world. I thought at this point I would be that Mom with the 2-3 year old with a freakin pacifer(binky) in my toddlers mouth.. NOPE I am proud to say I AM NOT that Mom and I am also proud to say Mr Bink has helped me keep that title.. :0)
We are on day 4 and T has no interest in the pacifer for night time.. the first 2 nights were kinda hard and I will admit at times I almost gave in.. but we stuck it out and we are on a roll... woot woot.. :0)
Thank you Mr Binky-- HIGH FIVES all around..
T is 18 months today..

Looking back, this year has definitley flown by - I remember looking forward to planning T's 1st B-day and when it arrived I wished it hadn't- I loved having a lil baby and everyday that goes by T becomes more and more of a lil boy. ::sigh::: He still is my love bug and snuggle bug and i do love the phase we are in- he's into everything and enjoys being outdoors- I love the way he lights up when he knows Daddy is home, and he chases the dogs around, climbs all over Kane and he just takes it. I love that he's more interactive with us and we are passed that baby and bottle phase, but I definitely do miss it, some days.
Here's to another year of first's for T and for us to.. I hope 2010 brings us so many more memories than 2009

15 months old*Updated with Pics
Wow, looking back 15 months ago its hard to believe that T was once so tiny and so fragile or at least I felt like he was. Now he is a rambunctious little boy - who happens to be ALL BOY- no doubting this one bit- He loves being outdoors whether it is with me or John he could sit out there all day if allowed. He loves the dirt and rocks, He loves anything trucks and that goes.. He also has a new fondness for our Rhino, Which I thought for sure he would be scared shitless of because of how load it is. .Heck no he is all about it.. He gets in and heads right for the backseat sits down and if he was able to talk I'm sure he would be telling John lets go Dad!! We are going to be taking him to the dunes for the first time for Thanksgiving I'm actually really excited and I'm sure if he knew he would be too!!
Pictures of that for sure to come. :0)
Walking.. Nope he actually cruises around as long as there’s something there to hold on to. but straight walking by himself is a negative he will do it here and there but never for too long. He makes me laugh as much as he is a BOY he is a scaredy cat.. hahah
It will come to him.. He definitely has been testing himself so that’s been good.
Temper Tantrums,, Oh Man!! How do you deal with Temper tantrums on a kid who is only 15 months? I feel like he is too young for timeouts and even spankings.. I mean I slap his hand if he is in something he shouldn’t be, but he is killin me with his temper tantrums half the time I just let him be and let him2 work it out himself but then that turns in to a meltdown and then of course it gets the best of me and I turn into mush. :(
So this should be a interesting next few months going into his 2 year old stage.. I'm looking forward to it!!;0)
How do you deal? What did you do? Or what would you do? Any advice would be great.
Other than that – that’s all that’s been going on in his world. He is a very mellow kid and John and I always get compliments on how well mannered he is while out at restaurants etc. we did have a period of where we didn’t even want to take him, but for the most part he has grown out of that stage? Or do they ever grow out of those stages? Ha who knows! He is an awesome kiddo, he loves to snuggle and give kisses, and I love to get them. He is a momma's boy for sure. But when he gets hurt he turns to daddy which is weird, but rock on.. :0)
I think I'm going to skip his 16 and 17 month and just do it for his 18 month-..
Pictures of that for sure to come. :0)
As far as Stats on him.. I had to take him into the Dr's AGAIN!! This poor kid is always sick or at least I feel like he is always sick. What can I do ya know.. if I could stay home with home all day I would, I just don’t have that leisure. :( - Anyway - He weighs 26lbs..and is 33in tall. He hasn’t really gained or lost anything but I'm sure this is because of how mobile he is. He is on the go all the time except when sleeping. He eats great! Loves everything and anything I put in front of him!! Well except Milk.. and I messed up and gave him straight juice a few months back and now its been a challenge to get him to drink just water. So I have to dilute down the juice - Ridiculous!! Even those Splashers that have water already in it I have to dilute down. I don’t need him drinking all that juice and filling up on that.. At first he protested but he's been doing better. We will see..
Walking.. Nope he actually cruises around as long as there’s something there to hold on to. but straight walking by himself is a negative he will do it here and there but never for too long. He makes me laugh as much as he is a BOY he is a scaredy cat.. hahah

14 months old
My little dude is 14 months old. Alot has happened from 13 months to now. Like all within one week he had roseola, Scarlett fever(strep throat) and whooping cough.! Sounds like fun eh?? Yea not so much..
So I had to deal with that.. It was not fun, I have had to deal with my pedia dropping the ball in so many ways, I dont even feel like discussing because I get pissed. So I'm the search for a new one. My main concern with picking a new pedia is that I don't want an office full of Pedias and the chances of him seeing "his" pedia is slim to well none half the time. I'm not okay with that!! I never will be. I don't need nor do I want to have to repeat his history to five million doctors - I also want the pedia we go to- to know Tristan, to know me. As much as our current pedia dropped the ball this was the reason why I like them sooo much, not to mention before this incident they were great. It could have been a fluke but I'm not willing to chance it again..
So.. Other than that.. Tristan is extremely stubborn, he refuses to WALK!! He can do it.. We have been practicing with him and cheering him on, but he seems to think that crawling is just much easier and prefers that. If he only knew that walking is way easier.
On the note of him crawling- his skin is out of freakin control and this too goes back to my pedia dropping the ball with that as well.
His skin on his legs and his forearms are a mess. I'm pretty sure its eczema, from what I have researched etc it is, but seriously it changes from day to day. So in my search I cut out Wheat and this seemed to help some, but he still gets outbreaks of "hives" or something that is pretty comparable to this. So its been a frustrating quest to find out what is going on.
I have gotten rid of all of his scented body wash, hair wash stuff and I went and got Mustela its specifically for sensitive skin/eczema. That has seemed to help as well. I also purchased Eucrin and this has seemed to sooth the irritation/ redness.. I also stopped bathing him everyday and have cut it down to every other day. Now this is hard - 1 because he is mess when he gets home from daycare, 2 he becomes messier when at home crawling on the dogs, eating , etc. So I rinse him with out using any soap and this as well has seemed to be helping "some" and I say that lightly because it changes everyday. The days he gets a "bath" I put baby oil in the water to help seal in moisture and Welp what do ya know this has been helping to..
OI!!
He's thinning out and getting taller, he has his back molars in, the top ones are ready to pop through any day. He has temper tantrums when told no or if he cant get to something right then!
He eats EVERYTHING and anything put in front of him!! YAY!! He has slowly started to use his utensils but easily gets frustrated. Words.. Psh.. this has slowed way down.. I'm not really sure what happened, he was on a roll and then NOTHIN.. So I don't know if this is normal or not.
Other than that - he's doing great. Until next time.. :0)

Better late than never! right?
13 Months old!!! That's how old Baby T is - Actually Baby T really can't be called Baby T anymore.. Sad to say but my Little Baby, is no more.. (well I take that back - T will always be my little gooey baby, slobbery kisses and all). So He turned 13 months old on Aug. 9. I realize it is August 20- Whoops.. :(
So here is what my little "toddler" is up to these days:
Crawling at the speed of lightening
Eating everything and anything put in front of him EXCEPT MILK!! WTF!! Suggestions please on how to incorporate Milk into T's nutrition. This Kid will not drink Milk. Not D, Not 2% I wont give lower than that. I have tried Rice Milk, Soy Milk.. and whelp he doesn't want anything to do with it. what gives?
He is strictly sippy cup and actually even does really good out of regular cups. He hasn't figured out the straw/ sucking thing.
He is starting to get the fork and spoon thing, bringing things to his mouth with them. Just can;t figure out how to get food on said fork or spoon so after a few tries he gets frustrated, throws the fork or spoon across the kitchen and uses his 5 fingers to stuff his little chunky cheeks instead and is much more happy with this messy way of eating..
He is walking (with help) but John and I have tricked him a few times to get him going. He scares himself though and sits right down as soon as he realizes he's doing it by himself. Its kinda like when he was learning to crawl ~ if he only knew the things he could get into the faster he would be walking. bahahah so maybe I wont rush this part... :)Speaking of walking he got some new shoes.. 2 pairs actually.. the first pair are actual walking shoes that give support and are the next step up from the prewalkers I had gotten him a few months ago. these have helped tremendously.. So instead of doing a separate post I will post it in this post.. :0)
His vocab has slowed down a bit and I think this is due to the fact that during the summer there wasn't a lot of kids at his daycare - well now they are all back so I'm hoping he'll get back on track. His vocab has a wide variety of words but they haven't expanded. I'm really not sure if that's normal and I try to keep in mind that every kiddo learns and grows differently.. :)
Other than that Tristan is awesome.. He is my lil man, my snuggle bug, love bug and the biggest cutie ever.. He's always got a smile for me, OH and speakin of smile. T has 8 teeth on the bottom, and 6 teeth on top.. His molars are starting to break through, and he seems to be doing fine with those..
He still LOVES trucks, He is definitely a Boys, boy!! Loves being outside with daddy, loves getting into the rocks, getting dirty and anything that has to do with water, he is all over it!!
So that is about it for him, I'm sure I am missing tons, but as I remember them I make note in his other baby book.
Oh and as you can see Lil Dude has learned that he can climb and crawl on top of these cool high up things and then screams and gets PISSED that he can't get back down!! Lovely- eh!!

*12 month Updates*
We went for T's 12 month Well check.. Yes shots were included and they weren't the regular ones, these ones hurt and my poor lil dude was not so happy.. :( MMR, Chickenpox and I can't think of the other one..
so his stats are:
Weight: 26lbs 30z 95%
Height: 32 in. 97% and up
Head: 18" 76%
The pedia said T is doing great, back on track from 3 months ago when he fell behind from all of the problems with being sick etc.
She would like him on whole milk, and I discussed the issues we are having and she said what I'm doing is fine as well. He's teething big time.. He has his back molars coming in and two of his eye teeth are popping through.. So its been FUN in the Trevino house!!
Here's the pics I took of him at 12 months on 07/09/09:
He just loves pictures~~ and I'm out!! Peace, Mom.

~***Tristan's 1st Birthday***~ #77
Today is T's 1st Birthday- I can't even believe it- I feel like it was such a short time ago that I had him. I mean, I look back at last year and I can remember everything leading up to Tristan arriving, the time, the scenery, it just seems so surreal.
Tristan was a stubborn little butt for sure. I went through 30 hours of labor, and ended up with a c-section just to get this stinker out. Tristan arrived at 6:28am and I have been in love ever since. I'm so happy and proud to be his Mom - on days that are frustrating or the days he's whiny, and crying I have to remind myself of all the good days we have and the love I have for him overshadows all these temper tantrums and crying fits. I'm excited to see what the next year holds for him and us. I'm excited for him to learn, developmentally, and physically - start walking, talking etc.. this next year in his life will be another chapter in our lives with new things to come, new places to go and explore and do what little boys do best and that's makes messes and get dirty!! I'm ready for it~
Tristan goes in on Monday for his 1 year well check- so I will update all of his stats as soon as I know.
As far as what he does and how far he's come since last month- lets see here.
He says: Uh oh, dato=dog, ishy, Mom, dada, tries to say juice but its hard to come up with a word that comes out of his mouth to type up, shews=shoes, out sounds like ut.., whoaaaaa, shhhhh (but I think he trys to say shut up because he only says that after we tell are obnoxious dogs to shut up from barking) and the scariest of them all- the one word all parents DON'T look forward to in there son or daughter's vocabulary... "NO"
(well just wonderful- now we are in trouble)
He's cruising: He cruises the couches and coffee tables, the bed, anything he can pull himself up on he's willing to try and then take steps.
He's crawling at the speed of lightening, you think you have a sec or two to get to something before he will actually get there and your soooo wrong. when you least expect it he's already there making a mess with the dog bowls, trying to eat the dog food, getting into the shoes, tearing apart your Tupperware cabinet, taking all of his clothes out of the bottom of his drawers, and many other things.
Bottles and sippy cups: He's drinking out of his sippy cup like a pro. with juice and water only. Milk is going to be a challenge I can already feel it. He's not so keen on the texture and I have tried to warm it, keep it somewhat cool and then straight form the fridge and none of these he is taking to.. So my plan as of right now is to keep him on his formula but put it in sippy cup until I can get him completely weaned to milk- I really don't see any harm in keeping him on it - I will not be doing this until after the birthday party on Sat. though. Probably Sunday we will be transitioning. I would like him to be off bottle completely and I'm pretty sure the only way to do this is to get rid of them all together. (I'm not so sure if that's going to go so well).
The Binky: So I have been pretty avid about him coming off the bink when he turned one, but suddenly T has become EXTREMELY attached to that sucker. and I'm kinda nervous considering i had 4 and I seem to missing 3?? I am left with one. I almost bought more and stopped myself and was like uh hello what are you doing.. so I put them down.
I'm not sure how taking away the bink is going to go over- It has become his safeguard and my weapon against crying and whining. so I'm torn on this one. I DON'T want to be that mother with the kid that has a pacifier still in his mouth at the age of 2, 3, 4 or 5 years old!! That's just not going to happen. So I need to come up with a plan..
So I'm in awww over the fact that my lil man is ONE, he's turning into this little independent self -doing things on his own, and growing up faster than I think I would like- but on the other hand I'm loving this stage in his life. He's such a character, the sounds he makes, the talking he does, the gestures, the faces he makes are just so silly. He carries on conversations with you and its fun to talk back to him and then to have him respond as if he really knows what he's talking about. I love the fact that when we are at home and John walks through the door - Tristan's eyes LIGHT up.. I know john has got to love that moment as well. How could you not? After a long day at work and then being able to come home to your Son who is so absolutely thrilled to see him who shrieks and giggles and just goes nutz .. AMAZING!!!
My little baby went from this:
Born: July 9, 2008 @ 6:28am
7lbs 12oz and 21 1/2" in.
to this:
Pretty Cool if you ask me!!!

~ We are talkin~
Yes Yes.. Tristan my eleven and half month old little monkey is a talkin little boy..
I will say this - he has been saying Momma, dadda, ishy, dato=dog, ball but Yesterday 06/25 while shopping in target he said "uh oh".. I think I was in shock and so surprised.. How amazing it to actually hear your son say his first actual words!! Let me tell you!! AMAZING!!

~Its so weird to think and well hear Tristan talking.. We now have to watch what we are saying around T, because it seems he is going to start picking up on what we are saying even faster than what we expected!!
So I must mark this day - no yesterday as the day that Tristan said his first "actual word"..
So exciting.. oh and he's cruising.. Geez in two weeks time - Tristan has pulled himself up, started cruising the couches, and tables, and now has said his first word.. Pretty crazy how fast they learn!!
OH and..... We gave T a new haircut.. totally not intentional. I cut T's hair and I have been getting pretty good with the clippers. Well since its Arizona and the heat is back up in the 100's + I figured lets take him a little shorter so I started out with 4, then went to 3, thennn went to 2. So i stopped at 2 cut his hairall around and then went to fade T's hair with a 1 in the back well his little squirmy self moved and I had the clippers on his head and "SHIT" it went to high.. so I asked John to help me fix it.. and well his way of fixing it was to just cut his entire head -
so I was left with this..
He's still my cutie patootie.. I was a little uneasy about it at first - but I've gotten used to it and for some reason I feel like it totally feels like it fits my little Mr. T..
so that's been my weekend so far and its only Sat.

~These Shoes were made for Walkin~
and that's just what they'll do.....
Well - I went to Stride- Rite and got him some pre-walkers - I like them compared to the others that they had and Tristan well he really wasn't sure what the heck was put on his feet and became frustrated with them as I held onto his hands to walk around the store to test the new shoes out.. These shoes are pretty neat - they aren't hard on the bottoms so he's still able to feel the floor and its as if he's not really wearing "shoes", because they are flexible and move with his feet.. they seem like they are going to be pretty comfy and just what he may need to get that extra step or two in.. We shall see..
Yep Last weekend I went and got Tristan his first pair of actual "pre-walking" shoes.
Its funny and I have to kick myself in the ass because we spent so much money on all these "cute" shoes for him to wear and well he barely ever wore them but, of course we tried to get him to wear them.. they either didn't fit his fat feet or were to big and would slip off or he would take them off and into his mouth they went.. So now that he's beginning to pull himself up and make the effort to take steps etc.. I figured it was about that time to go.. along with the push from my Mom who said I should have gotten them a few months ago.. Geez, sorry I kinda like looking at his little fat pudgy feet- there to cute to cover up if you ask me and well its "SUMMER" and its hot!!

I guess I just feel like he doesn't exactly need them while at daycare except now my thinking has changed because yesterday I went and picked him up and saw that the rough spots on the tops of his pudgy feet had turned into somewhat of carpet blisters(burns) and were nice and red.. :(
So looks like I will be putting his shoes on after all.. I was also hoping they would have sandals so his feet could breathe and of course they were out.. So I will have to wait until they get more in. Until then these "cool" shoes will have to do..

11 Months Old
Holy Shnikes!! Its funny because as I write those words - "Eleven Months old".. I stop and think about what I was doing last year leading up to Tristan's Birth..
I remember it being so hot these last two months and at one point our A/C went out on us, I was freaking out because it was so hot and the fact that this was happening 4 weeks before T was supposed to be born was ridiculous. Luckily we got it fixed and it wasn't anything major.
I remember that night John and I decided to go to dinner and go see a movie, Ya that movie was my last movie I saw until after the baby was born.. :( I also remember - going and doing my maternity pictures and how god awful hot it was- and now this year its like 90 degrees outside and beautiful!!

It's just so crazy to think about all these things. Like last weekend would of been my baby shower and I loved every single minute of it - I loved sifting through the aftermath of clothes, baby gear, getting T's nursery together.. and that was the other thing I procrastinated big time on, finishing the nursery - since we did a theme of jungle/ safari murals on the wall. I took forever picking paint etc.. The room was done exactly 1 week prior to Tristan being due. I remember how ready I was to have Tristan here. After enduring 8 months and being the size of a whale, not being able to see my feet except for in the mirror to only gaze at the mere fact that I would never have normal ankles ever again after this pregnancy, I wish I would of taken pictures but maybe that's a good thing I didn't - Some things you just don't need to remember..
35 weeks prego..

So Anyway - Tristan is 11 months old and I'm in aww of this little BOY - not baby so much anymore. He is ALL over the place - into EVERYTHING and anything he can get his little pudgy fingers into. He pulls him self up on almost everything he can get leverage on. He has taken quite a few falls, with some scrapes and bruises to show for it, but he's a tough little man and sails right on past the point of crying. (maybe a few tears here and there)
Here's a few stats:
*27lbs
*Not sure of Height -
* 8 teeth
*crawling
*pulls self up- takes a few steps
We put a swing up outside for him since he loves being outdoors, absolutely LOVES that swing. He is so content and happy once we put him in there. Which is great because it gives me a chance to Barbecue, time for John and I to talk and carry on a conversation with out being screamed at.. Tristan has one more month of being on the bottle and is drinking from a sippy cup with no problems, I also have been introducing him to Horizon Vitamin D whole milk so he gets used to it when formula is stopped. I mix it with his formula - the first week and this next I will do 2 ounces with his 4 ounces of formula and then after 2 weeks move to 4 ounces of whole milk to his 2 ounces of formula and so on..
He is doing wonderfully with eating the food we eat. He LOVES strawberries, He knows what they are and when he sees them in the grocery store he goes nuts!! He likes bananas, kiwi, nectarines, peaches, plums, raspberries, grapes, blackberries, apples - basically every fruit except watermelon, that he spits out. He likes green beans, only the fresh ones; peas, carrots, potatoes, squash, pinto beans, black beans, doesn't care for corn. He likes chicken, spaghetti, ravioli's, turkey, ham, cheese, eggs, salami, mac & cheese, strawberry or grape jam sand which as I call them since he can't have peanut butter yet, loves waffles, toast, pancakes. - He still eats some jar food, but for the most part he's eating regular food. I love the fact that he will eat anything, he loves trying what John and I have on our plates and its funny because he definitely likes to be treated as a big boy who can do it by himself - if you try to help him he pushes your hand out of the way and screams.. (what a stinker right?)
He has 8 teeth - 4 on top and 4 on the bottom - My concern though is that he still has some weird markings on them and I'm not really sure what the pediatric dentist is going to recommend. I plan on taking him in when he is year. Since all 4 teeth I'm hoping will be completely out. I'm hoping this is something that can be fixed because even though they are only his first set and will fall out, he will have them until he's at least 7 maybe even older and I don't want him to have to go to preschool or kindergarten with messed up teeth.. Not even cool!! His Molars are coming in on the bottom - his gums are pretty swollen- poor baby.
He's talking and babbling alot, Says Momma - dadda, dogga = dog, ishy=fishy, and a few various other words but I'm not really sure how to type those out..
All in all for an eleven month old who fell behind at 7-9 months because of his ear infections etc he sure has showed us how much he can catch up and go beyond our expectations.
(That was a pretty long post) Yikes.. As you can see - As Tristan grows and becomes more mobile - its is very hard for me to get him to sit and smile and take a quick pic.. This took me about 10 minutes along with 25+ pictures me of course just snapping pics as I saw fit and went through and grabbed the best ones..

~~10 Months Old~~ *Updated*
I'm kinda late with posting this - but we had a very eventful and busy weekend.
May 9, 09 ~Tristan turned 10 months old!! C.R.A.Z.Y....... is all i have to say..
10 months has come so fast. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the next 2 months and the day he turns a year old.. WEIRD!!
About this little man..
No current weight - guesstimate - 27lbs
Height: 30-31 in..
Everything is just as it was last month but with more will power to get where he needs to go, when he wants to go. He still army crawls but now he has learned to launch himself using his feet. He does get up on all 4's but can't quite figure out that if he would move in sync he would be crawling..
he has shown his temper - OH YEA!! lets talk about that.. boy oh boy does he have a temper.. He is in the stage were if you take away something he gets MAD!! like really mad, screams, kicks and cries out.. I have to laugh, but I try not to in front of him because I don't want him to think I'm making fun of him, but it is funny..
He screams at the dogs if they get in his way - just to give you an example.. Kane our pit bull went up to T and licked him on his face to give "kisses" and then plopped his butt right on top of T's legs.. T got so MAD that he screamed at him and was trying to push him away!! John and I were laughing so hard.. he did this until finally Kane realized Oh maybe I should move.. He screams at Sox my little chi chi, Sox thinks its okay to go and lay on his playmate so I think Tristan has learned from me that its not okay for Sox to layon his mat- So when sox tries to, Tristan screams at him and then will attempt to push him off.. My poor dogs are sure going to love this little kiddo.. =)
He has learned to pull himself up in his crib and not just by accident- this is I want out, you guys can hear me but since no one is coming I'm going to find my escape myself. So John and I will be lowering the bed once again, and this time to the lowest setting. Its a pain in the ass to lower one setting at a time..
He eats like there's no tomorrow. He drinks out of his sippy cup like a CHAMP.. so transitioning should not be a problem which I'm so happy about. At 1 year - I will be taking away the bottle, along with his pacifier and keeping it only for night time.. if need be.
Trucks!!! He LOVES trucks.. Monster trucks preferably.. John and I got him a few a couple months back and he wasn't totally interested in them but played with them.. Well, now they are all he wants.. he even makes the noise which he has learned from us and rolls them on the floor while making a (rumbling of Vrooooommm vroooommmm) in Tristan's version though.
Since - getting his tubes in his ears I have seen such a change in T's development - its awesome. I can't believe that stupid Ear infections can slow kiddos down physically, mentally and developmentally.. What a come back Tristan has made. He has caught himself up with everything and more he should be doing.. and shouldn't be doing like getting into the dog bowls, pulling the dogs ears, pressing the buttons on the T.V. pulling himslef up on the crib and the couches, the list goes on. I will say though, this stage in his life has definitely become my Favorite. I still miss his little bitty self, but when he pulls himself up on my lap and gives me a slobbery kiss and a hug so tight.. I could not ask for more!!
